HOW OUR EDITIONS WORK
Austin Bloom produces two types of prints: open editions and limited editions. The difference matters.
Open editions remain available as long as they're part of the active catalogue. They can be reordered, and there's no cap on how many we'll produce. If you see a print you like and want to take your time deciding, open editions give you that space.
Limited editions are different. Each has a fixed production run set before release. Once that run sells through, the print is retired permanently — no reprints, no re-releases, no "back by popular demand." The number is the number. When they're gone, they stay gone.
Both types are produced on the same archival materials. The quality is identical. The scarcity is not.
WHY LIMITED EDITIONS MATTER
As with original art, and a limited print run based on these, Austin Bloom will release a set number of prints, and sometimes an original. Once the prints and original are sold, the artwork enters the archive and won't be printed further.
For collectors, it means earlier pieces hold a scarcity that increases naturally over time.
What's currently available
We release limited editions on a structured schedule throughout the year. Our current limited edition series features seven prints — all dark, atmospheric florals exploring the threshold between darkness and light.

Materials & Quality
Every Austin Bloom print — limited or open edition — is produced on museum-grade materials:
Premium Canvas
Satin-finish canvas with subtle texture and rich colour depth. Available stretched and framed, ready to hang, or unframed for custom framing.
Cotton Rag (310gsm)
Smooth, matte-finish paper used by galleries and fine art institutions worldwide. Ideal for custom framing. Acid-free and archival.
Both formats use archival-grade inks and finishes rated for 75+ years of colour stability. Every print is produced to order by specialist Australian printing partners — nothing sits in a warehouse.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. We produce both limited and open editions. Limited editions have a fixed run and are permanently retired when sold out. Open editions remain available as part of our active catalogue. Both are made on the same archival materials.
The best way is to get on our mailing list. They are the first to know, and some limited editions will only be released to our mailing list, much like a private gallery viewing. Limited editions are also clearly marked on their product page and thumbnails, and collected in our Limited Editions collection. The product title also includes "Limited Edition."
Each print has a set edition size determined before release. We don't disclose exact numbers, but once a run sells through, that print is permanently retired with no exceptions.
No. Retirement is permanent. This is a firm policy and the reason our limited editions are genuine — not a marketing label applied to prints that stay available indefinitely.
Each print (limited and open) ships with documentation of the collection name, edition details, and artist information. For specific authentication requests, contact us directly.
We can't make guarantees about future market value. What we can guarantee is archival-quality materials, genuine scarcity, and an artist whose body of work continues to develop. Limited supply combined with growing demand creates natural conditions for appreciation, but the best reason to buy art is because you want to live with it.
