The Austin Bloom Story

Founders of Austin Bloom

Origins & Founding Values

Austin Bloom began as a modest flower stall where Estée first shared seasonal blooms with the local community. With Stu collaborating beside her, that hands-on beginning evolved into a distinctive floral design studio focused on craft, intention, and refined aesthetics. This is our story — a narrative of collaboration, experimentation, and quiet dedication to creating beauty that lasts.

What started roadside soon expanded into bespoke floral design for weddings, events, and large installations. Years of practice led the studio to build a vocabulary of form, texture, and colour — always prioritising authenticity and a timeless approach to floristry. Along the way, Austin Bloom partnered with notable collaborators, including Penfolds, underscoring a commitment to original and considered work.

Our craft and creative approach

  • Artisanal techniques: Hand-forged processes and careful composition inform every arrangement.
  • Design-led thinking: Each installation is treated like a curated object — simple, layered, and liveable.
  • Collaborative projects: Work with architects, hotels, galleries, and designers broadens the studio’s practice.

Sustainability & Responsible Practice

Austin Bloom is intentionally building a sustainable practice. We use locally sourced materials when possible, prioritise seasonal flowers, and pursue low-waste processes in studio production. This focus on longevity and careful sourcing is central to ourstory and to the way we design pieces that age gracefully in homes and public spaces.

Where Our Work Lives

Our floral and object-based work appears in private homes, architect-designed interiors, boutique hotels, and gallery settings. Austin Bloom creates concepts that translate across scale — from intimate tabletop arrangements to immersive installations — always with the same attention to finish and feeling.
