PALAIS GARNIER
A print born from a Paris evening
'One evening in Paris I waited in a long line in the middle of winter to buy a ticket for the opera — but when the line came to an end, my eyes were opened wide. I stepped inside a wonderland and walked up the majestic double-sweeping staircase. Decadent. Glamorous and enveloped with beauty.'

STYLING WITH MIU MIU BLUE
How to bring this palette into your home
Miu Miu blue — that dusty, heritage powder blue — is one of those colours that feels both of-the-moment and timeless. It works because it is not cold. There is enough warmth in the undertone to sit comfortably alongside brass, natural timber and soft white linen without pulling a room toward sterile. Paired with burgundy, chocolate and cream, it creates a palette that feels distinctly European.
The Du Calme prints are designed to anchor exactly this kind of interior. Their painted blue backdrops carry the same dusty warmth, and the botanical compositions add organic softness to what might otherwise feel formal. The effect is a room that breathes — refined but not rigid, designed but not decorated.
For this palette, we would recommend our Natural Flooded Gum frame for a softer, provincial feel, or ask your local framer for a soft white traditional frame to mirror the moodboard above. (Note: we do not currently offer a soft white frame — our Natural timber and Flooded Gum is what we would recommend if you choose to frame with us.)

We do not currently offer a soft white traditional frame as shown in the moodboard. If you are drawn to that look, your local framer will be able to assist. For framing with us, we would recommend the Natural timber Flooded Gum — it carries a similar warmth and complements the Du Calme palette beautifully.
